What to consider before buying

When choosing a horror novel by Black authors, consider whether you prefer classic Lovecraftian reworkings, contemporary haunted-house stories, or speculative mythic horror. Look for strong character voices and themes that reflect cultural experiences, as these often add depth to the scares.
