What to consider before buying

When choosing a safe car, prioritize models with 5-star ratings from both IIHS and NHTSA, and look for active-driver-assist systems like forward collision warning and lane-keep assist. Consider your size needs, budget, and whether you prefer gas, hybrid, or electric powertrains, as many top-rated vehicles now offer multiple power options without compromising safety.
